Buttermilk, curd, yogurt & dairy products are used extensively to fight the harsh climate conditions of Rajasthan. Different types of chutney (sausage may be hot or cold) are an integral part of an ideal Rajasthani meal; chutney can be different main ingredients like mango, mint and/or garlic, but the garlic chutney is most common & celebrated. Also, mangodi, papad, petha are common snacks or easy food option which is used on a very large level by Rajasthani people.


Rajasthani food has a great influence on warrior lifestyle because of continuous wars in history; food here prepared is good for a longer period of time than normal food items in another part of the country. In Rajasthani cuisine the ingredients are very easily available in nature even a bush, plant, tree,   creeper; berries are used in food recipes extensively. Desert, war, harsh climatic conditions helped the Rajasthani people to expose to a complete a new world of unique culinary. Rajasthani food is very rich in minerals, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and vitamins; this is because of the need for a healthy & tough body to combat with climate & wars.
