Birla Temple is also known as Laxmi Narayan temple as it is dedicated to Lord Narayan & Goddess Laxmi; the name Birla temple is given as it was constructed by the famous Birla family in 1988. This Birla family is responsible for the construction of many beautiful & grand temples across the country; all these temples are known for their serene beauty & marvelous architecture.
When Birla family has shown interest in constructing a temple in Jaipur, the royal family of Jaipur provided land for token money of just one rupee.
There are 3 domes in Birla temple constructed using marble; the entire temple is constructed using marble. Great carvings have been done to add extraordinary beauty to the temple. Mythological legends, gods & other worthy people have been carved out on the walls & pillars of the temple. The idols of Lord Laxmi Narayan has been carved out of a single piece of stone; the gardens outside the main building of Birla temple are very beautiful & serene; devotees visiting temple finds peace & tranquility in these peaceful & beautiful gardens & temple. Shops within the temple complex allow visitors to shop for the handicrafts & other items at very reasonable price with fine quality.
