Taragarh Fort: Taragarh Fort was built by founder King Ajayraj I in 8th century on the hilltop. It is one of the oldest forts built on the hilltop in Rajasthan. This fort was seat of Chauhan Rulers of Ajmer, Taragarh Fort was built with the motive to guard the city of Ajmer. Its military competency was unmatched during that time, apart from valor & courrage of Chauhan Rajputs this fort was standing behind the invincibility of Chauhan rulers. There are 3 entrance gates to this fort namely Laxmi Pol, Phuta Darwaja & Gagudi Phatak. This fort offers the beautiful panoramic view of city.

Khwaja Muin-ud-din Dargaah: It is a shrine dedicated to sufi saint Khawaja Muin-ud-din Chisti at the foothills of Taragarh Fort. This shrine is considered among the most celebrated muslim pilgrimage sites in India. It has significance since era of Mughal emperor Akbar; he used to visit here once every year travelling on foot from Agra. On death anniversary of Sufi saint large number of muslim pilgrims lands in Ajmer.

Adhai din ka jhopda: Adhai din ka jhopda is a mosque built by Qutubuddin Aibak in 1193, on Taragarh hill. It is an example of unique craftsmanship, in the mosque there are 40 columns supporting the roof but none of them are similar.

Akbar’s Palace: Akbar’s Palace is the most beautiful monument in Ajmer; it was built by Akbar in 1570 AD. This palace was home to the emperor Akbar while he was on pilgrimage to dargah sharif. This palace also holds a very important place in the history of India as the historical meeting between Emperor Akbar & Sir Thomas of East India Company was held here, this was the turning point in the history of India. A part of this palace is functioning as the museum displaying weapons, art pieces & armors of Mughal & Rajput warriors. The main attraction of this museum is the life size black marble idol of Goddess Kali. It is open from 10:00 to 17:00 IST every day, visitors have to pay a fees of INR 10 (Indian nationality) & INR 50 (Foreign Naionality).
